A high powered and high excitement race was on Sunday, when the Brazilian Grand Prix ended with Jenson Button taking the constructors championship for Brawn GP. When the checkered flag came down, he could be heard on his radio singing Queen's We are the Champions. That sentiment certainly holds true as he knocked out both Sebastian Vettel and teammate Mark Webber and took the constructors championship away from a disappointed Red Bull. Button started in fourteenth place on the Grid and finished in 5th, and his teammate, Rubens Barichello begin in the pole position but finished in 8th place.
Mark Webber was the big winner of the race at Brazil, having started in fourteenth place on the grid. However, despite the best efforts of both him, and teammate Sebastian Vettel Red Bull lost the championship to Brawn, with Jenson Button closing the door on both championships. This gives Brawn 165 points in the constructors championship, over the 135 ½ that Red Bull has with Mclaren in third place with just 71 constructor's points. After that, Mclaren is followed by Ferrari, Toyota in fifth place and Williams with just 34 ½ points.
In the driver's championships Jenson Button, the man from England, now leads with 15 points over second placed German Sebastian Vettel. Vettel has 74 points and is followed closely by Button's teammate Rubens Barichello, with 72. Mark Webber, taking first place in the Brazilian GP, but in fourth place on the leaderboard with just 61 ½ points. Second place in the Brazilian race was taken by Robert Kubica of BMW-Sauber, third was Lewis Hamilton and fourth place was take by Sebastian Vettel, the Red Bull teammate of Mark Webber.
