Sebastian Vettel Keeps Himself In The Running For The Title

Jenson ButtonWell, the Japanese Grand Prix has ended from the GP Circuit Suzuka and this is the first time that a competitive racing event has been held on this track which made it something for these drivers to look forward to. The Japanese Grand Prix is 53 laps and a chance to earn all important points that will allow drivers a chance to win the driver's championship, as well as scoring points for their respective constructors. Last year's runner up was Robert Kubica, and Lewis Hamilton took pole position. However the race was won by Fernando Alonso, who also holds the records for this race.

In the first practice session Heikki Kovalainen came out on top with a time of 1:40.356, while Kazuki Nakajima came in second, and Adrian Sutil of Force India took third. Second practice had Sutil on top while Sebastian Vettel took second place. Vitantonio Liuzzi was in third place while Lewis Hamilton scooped up fourth. We had one more practice session the following Saturday, before the qualifying and that session had Jarno Truli as the fastest driver, Sebastian Beumi in second and Nico Rosberg took third place in the third and final free practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix.

When we came to the qualifying session Sebastian Vettel took pole position with the runner up from the qualifying being none other than Jarno Truli and Lewis Hamilton took third. Adrian Sutil was fourth on the starting grid and Rubens Barrichello took fifth. Then the race began. Sebastian Vettel was able to lead from pole and the Red Bull driver won the Japanese Grand Prix, not a moment too soon for him to stay in the championship. Second place was Toyota driver Jarno Truli and Lewis Hamilton for McLaren in third. Title contenders Jenson Button and Rubens Barichello finished eight and seventh for Brawn respectively, which means that Brawn is barely out of the constructors championship.
