Grand Prix Catalunya Barcelona Live

The Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya in Barcelona will be held on Sunday, June 14^th, and three races make up the GP Catalunya, the MotoGP, the 125 and the 250. The schedule runs as follows: A one hour free practice session for each of the races on Friday, the 12^th, an second hour long practice session on Saturday for the MotoGP and the 250, and forty minute session for the 125, with qualifying for all three races later that afternoon. 

On Sunday, all riders will get some time in the morning to warm up, with the first race – the 125 – starting at 11am local time. The 250 will start about an hour and fifteen minutes later, with the MotoGP starting on Sunday afternoon at 1400.

The Circuit de Catalunya or Circuit de Barcelona as it is sometimes called, is one of the most highly regarded Formula 1 racetracks, located in Montmelo, which is just outside of Barcelona. This track features long straights and a wide variety of corners, and is regarded as one of the major testing grounds for F1. 

Host to a wide assortment of events throughout the year, the race is most famous for the Spanish Grand Prix, which has been held at the Circuit de Catalunya since 1991. The long straights of this track in fact, has prompted Rizla Suzuki to get excited about a new engine that will be ready in time for the race, since they have had problems this year with reaching their potential at long straight-aways, and this new engine would give them the power they need to compete on these long straights.
