NASCAR Sprint Cup Auto Club 500 Auto Club Speedway Fontana CA Live

Four races have been run in the Sprint Cup competition so far this year, beginning with the Budweiser Shootout on February 6^th, which was won by Kevin Harvick and then two rounds of the Gatorade Duel which were won by Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne on February 11^th. Then we had the big race this weekend, on the 14^th, the Daytona 500, which saw Jamie McMurray out front for his first win of the season. This week's Sprint Cup race is called the Auto Club 500 Live and it will be held on February 21^st, Sunday, at the Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana, California. The track is a two mile D shaped oval that was constructed back in 1997, and sits where the very first steel mill that lie west of the Rockies once did. The track also hosts another NASCAR Sprint Cup race in October, called the Pepsi Max 400 and a Nationwide this weekend called the Stater Bros 300, as well as another Nationwide race this year called the Camping World 300.

As for the standings after these four races have been ran, it is extremely close right now, with Jimmie Johnson in the top spot, holding onto it with 6,652 points. Just 141 points away from him is Mark Martin and third is Jeff Gordon followed by Kyle Busch in fourth place. Denny Hamlin takes the fifth spot on the Sprint Cup standings with 6,335 points.
