NASCAR Sprint Cup Shelby American Las Vegas NV Live

NASCAR continues with the Shelby American Live, right after the race in Fontana which had Jimmie Johnson out front and Kevin Harvick with the second place spot. Third was taken by Jeff Burton. This week, the race is in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is a one and a half mile D shaped oval that hosts some of the best races in NASCAR. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway also hosts the Camping World race, the Las Vegas 350, which will be held on September 25^th this year, and this weekend is also the weekend for the Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Sam's Town 300. Last year's Sprint Cup race was held on March 1^st and it was won by Kyle Busch, then titled the Shelby 427. The Nationwide Race last year was won by Greg Biffle and it was run on the last day of February. This year, the dates are different but the excitement and action is the same or better.

This D shaped oval track features 20 degree turns and nine degrees on both the front and back stretch. The frontstretch is 2,275 feet and the back is 1,572 feet. Right now the standing for the Sprint Cup Series show Kevin Harvick in first place with 331 points while Clint Bowyer takes second with 312. Greg Biffle takes the third spot right now with 304 points.
