The AMA Pro Motocross Event this week will be at the Daytona International Speedway for round nine, and with Atlanta over and a big win from Ryan Dungey which puts him in the lead right now for the championship and that is a very good spot to be in for Ryan, but since the season is only half over he'll need to ride hard to maintain his place. So Rockstar's Makita Suzuki''s Ryan Dungey came in first in Atlanta, taking home his fourth Spike Holeshot award, making that his third win of this year's great season. Right after Dungey came Trey Canard from Oklahoma, driving for Honda Red Bull Racing. This is only Canard's second race on the bigger bike and his best Premier level finish thus far, with a runner up placing throughout his entire racing career. Davi Millsaps finished in third place which gave Honda Red Bull Racing both the second and the third spot.

As far as the standings go, Dungey has 170 points in first and Josh Hill has second, just twenty points down for San Manuel Yamaha. Monster Energy Kawasaki (also Pro Circuit). This is Dungey's rookie year and already he has three races and has been on the podium five times total. Out of the 160 laps ran this season he has led for 74 of them.
