Well, it is round seven and eight of the Formula Two Championship and it all happens this weekend at Brands Hatch in the UK. It has been an incredible twenty five years since Brands Hatch hosted the F2 Championship and on the 19th of July, the Kent Circuit will see the return of this great race, with the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2009 Formula Two Championship. Last time this race was at Brands Hatch it was won by Philippe Steiff, in 1984, and the man from France will be in the stands this weekend, mentoring fellow Frenchman Julien Jousse, a mentoring which must be working as Jousse is currently third in this year's championship.

This season has certainly been one of ups and downs, with four different leaders thus far, and a total of nine different drivers making the climb to the podium this year. Andy Soucek from Spain is the man in the lead, that stemming from his performance in Belgium, but Canadian Robert Wickens is only two points behind him. He got his points from Valencia where he took pole in both races, and then proceeded to win them.

Other drivers who have been on the podium this year is the champion of Italian Formula Three, Mirko Bortolotti, who won at Brno. Mikhail Aleshin, Philipp Eng, Julien Jousse and Nicola De Marco have also been winners this year. Jousse would have been at the top, but was taken out by Soucek when the Spaniard won runner-up in the second race at Spa-Francorchamps, while Jousse only took third in the first race.
