Round Two f the FIA Formula Two Championship for 2009 will be taking place at Donington Park this weekend, the same circuit who just procured a Grand Prix event from 2010 and onward. This track is host to a wide variety of events including rounds from the MotoGP and Superbike Championships. This Formula 2 race will be the headline event in August, and as a historic showcase, will feature cars that were competing in the F2 events in the 1960's and 1970's. Saturday allows the drivers one free practice and then the two qualifying sessions take place starting at 12:00. Two races make up the Sunday race day on August 16^th with race one at 10:50 and the second at 15:45.

Donington Park is a well known circuit in the racing world. It's at Castle Donington which is located in NW Leicestershire, England. The circuit just picked up the British Grand Prix for seventeen years starting in 2010. The track opened in 1931 and is host to BTCC, British F3, British Superbikes, SBK, Superleague Formula and Superleague Formula Truck Racing and of course the British Grand Prix starting nexr year.

Andy Soucek is the current F2 championship leader and he was able to set a time of 1:23:053 in a test session at Donington on Tuesday. Milos pavlovic had the second spot and then Julien Jousse had the third fastest.
