The top division of the Speedway League Competition happens on Monday, May 11th this year. The race starts at 7:30 at the Wolverhampton Speedway in England. The raceway is prepared and the teams are gearing up for a great race.

This year the teams that are competing are Bell Vue Aces, Coventry Bees, Eastbourne Eagles, Ipswitch Witches, Lakeside Hammers, Peterborough Panthers, Poole Pirates, Swindon Robins and of course – the Wolverhampton Wolves.
Last year there were some new rule introductions, such as an extra point added to an array win, bringing it from two to three. Also, bonus points – the point that teams were awarded for aggregate wins over home and away team matches against another team. Another new feature last year was that the two teams at the bottom from the Elite League would face the the winning Premier League team.

The Poole Pirates grabbed their third title championship last year with the Lakeside Hammers taking second. The Swindon Robins and The Ipswich Witches tieing for third. The Coventry Bees had been the defending champions, taking home the title in 2007. With your membership you can see who will take home the 2009 title live and as it happens.
